We are a friendly, informal group whose aim is to improve our writing through encouraging each other, and by regularly entering competitions.
On the first Tuesday of each month we bring along and read out work we have written on the set theme. We discuss the work in a friendly way so that we all learn something from it. We also catch up with people who have entered competitions, to see how they have got on.
Don’t worry if you would rather not read your work at your first few meetings. Just come along and listen!!
If you are currently working on a project which doesn’t fit in with the set theme, you won’t be left out! Please bring it along and share it with the group. You can be assured of a positive reception. Perhaps you are looking for further ideas which the group could provide.
We welcome people of all ages and abilities from complete beginners to published novelists!
And it only costs £1 a month, plus 20p for tea or coffee! A bargain!!
